Why is it important to patch test every time I use Nair, even if I’ve used it before?
Because your body’s chemistry can change, and a reaction can occur even if you’ve used the product before without a reaction.
How do depilatories work?
Depilatories contain ingredients that work by breaking the chemical bonds that hold hair together. The bonds give hair strength and structure, so when you break these bonds, the hair can easily be washed/wiped away and removed.
Why use Nair creams or sprays?
They’re quick and easy! In as little as 3 minutes for creams you can be free of unwanted hair and with no nicks or cuts.
I’ve heard that depilatories also exfoliate and moisturise?
Yes, in addition to dissolving the hair, Nair depilatories help remove unwanted dead cells on skin surface. Nair depilatories are also packed full of moisturising ingredients, to moisturise your skin as they remove hair.
How often can I use Nair creams?
You should leave at least 72 hours between subsequent applications of Nair creams/sprays.
Will this product affect how my hair grows back?
It won’t change the rate at which your hair grows or the thickness of the hair. However, because the hair is dissolved rather than cut off at the skin level, re-growth will appear reduced compared to shaving.
How long does my hair need to be before waxing?
Waxes can differ in terms of the length of hair required before waxing. The general guideline for Nair waxes is 1-week of growth.
How long will the waxing effect last?
Results can last for several weeks. If hair re-grows within a day or two you probably need to practice your technique as you may be snapping off the hair rather than removing from the root. See pack for detailed instructions.
If I run out of aftercare wipes, is there another way to remove any wax residue?
Yes, if using Nair Wax Strips or Microwave Wax use baby oil to remove any remaining wax. If using Nair Roll-On use warm water and a clean cloth.
